Model Sheets! Model Sheets! Model Sheets!
I was lucky enough to have a tiny bit of spare time a while back where I got to design The Wraith for the IDW comic Transformers Animated The Arrival, written by TFA's own Marty Isenberg. I really jumped at the chance to draw him because Marty has had the idea for this character right from the get go of our show. It was also fun just to get to do an old school HB-esque super hero.
And speaking of model sheets! The king of Transformers Model sheet art, Jim Sorenson, has put up a new blog that he is dedicating to TF models that didn't fit in the two volumes of The Ark that he (and the totally blogless Bill Forster) did for IDW. Check it out at his Disciples of Boltax blog: http://boltax.blogspot.com/.

The wraith symbol seems eerily similar to the thingy that came with Trap-Jaw (or was it Triclops) in the 80s MOTU toys...
woot i member this guy, haha i never saw the model sheet till literally all the pages were done lol. i thought the guy was white origianlly!!
Your character designs are great, could you also posts some life drawings too.
Its really interesting to see how artist translate their life drawings into character design.
I love how the gauntlet buttons are a call back (or shout out or whatever) to the old Space Ghost design. Perhaps Mr. Wraith can blast some evil bugs sometime?
