I wasn't under the impression that the issues we got (which are presumably what are in the TP) were a "story" on their own (which would be needed for a "sequel" to exist). Rather, this seems to have been a series that got cut short when IDW decided to focus on less interesting TF projects.....

I've looked up a bit more on TFWiki since saying that. Apparently, it was supposed to be a six-issue mini-series, but issue #6 was canceled so it could be exclusive to the Jetfire/Jetstorm set.
Still, these 6 issues aren't really a single story in any sense I can tell. A second series would be a second series, but I don't think "sequel" is the right word....
I haven't read the comic that much but I love the story about what happened to Starscream after "Transform and roll out".
Will the jet twins comic be part of the paperback?
Sweet. I missed the individual issues (So many comics to buy last summer!), so the trade is most definitely welcome.
And Matere is a great artist.
Yep! The Jefire and Jetstorm origin story is collected in the trade!

I'll have to save up some money for this, it's hard to find anything other then the trade paperbacks in terms of comics in my area and one of my friends spoke really highly of The Arrival.
Comic book stores here scare me because they're all down alleys. I've nothing personal against my local friendly comic-book and games stores, but I wish they were in friendlier locations!

Cool. I skipped the individual comics but will definitely pick this up. Glad that the Safequard story is in here too. Any rough sketches and extra goodies in the back as well?
Also, Derrick - do you have any plans to do a comic? One recommendation I would make is that you do an A-Z Character guide, like the old Marvel Universe books - expanding it as far and wide as you like - because there are MANY OF US that would just love to see your version of every damn transformer in the history of cybertron - especially ones not already featured in the TFAverse.
The show ending at season 3 is sad. But clearly you have versions of many more TFA style characters in your head. I for one would love to see a thick book of all new character models. And Marty can write up character bios. I vote for this. Do it. Now! Please?
For some reason a bunch of my relatives are going to be sending me money on the 12th (wonder why?), so I'll use some of that to buy the TPB.
I've been a bit behind in TF comics. Although I did buy all of the issues of The Arrival. Even though I had to order 4 and 5 directly from IDW.
I definately need to llok for this, no where around sells the individuals, but a store at the mall sells the collections.
If you can't get it at a comic store you can get it through Amazon, or you can probably order it at your local Barnes and Noble or Borders Books. They will usually in store order anything they have on their web sites.

An Animated Who's Who would be cool! But they are pretty much doing that with the Alspark Almanac, using the actual show character models.
I don't have any plans to do comics. I would love to, but I'm always too busy.
I just have one question: What do you think of Dario Brizuela's art? I find it... Lacking.
Picked mine up today! I'll pray over it for a season four of Animated.
I went to order it from Amazon, but they say it's not out until the 29th! I guess it'll get here before it appears in New Zealand shops anyway... :)
Oh, that looks so cute! Too bad I can't get to a book store anytime soon. Plus, my family would probably disown me is I brought anymore TF stuff in the house. They thought the Backstreet Boys phase, (still not over that,) was bad enough. I managed to get Jetfire and Jetstorm in because they were gifts, but that's about it.

Derrick, this may not be my place to ask such a question, but there's something I really need to know about Laserbeak's guitar mode. It looks a heck of a lot like the guitar that Kerry King of Slayer uses - was this an influence at all? Thanks...
I had a question concerning a particular character. I have noticed on many sites that there was a Beachcomber character that was supposed to appear in Season 3. I also heard that he would not be making an appearance because his concept, or something of the sort, got scraped.
My question:
Will we see a Beachcomber in Season 3 (Season 4, Ect...) or has he been taken away for specific reasons?
I also cannot wait to get the new comic. I don't remember seeing it at my local bookstore. I better order it!

I love you guys. About twelve hours after Predacons Rising, you officially brought the Saturday Morning nostalgia factor at least one person who grew up with Beast Wars. I will keep my fingers crossed for you guys getting a fourth season for the hopes of seeing some more of my favorite Beast Wars characters getting into Animated. Quickstrike, Inferno and an homage to certain someone who's voice actor is in the show for Transformers Animated Season 4......yeeeessssss.
Are the Dinobots meant to be Predacons now, essentially taking the place of Megatron, Terrorsaur, and ehmmm....Dinobot II?

Will Why I Hate Machines have more Wreck Gar? PLEEEEEASE? We all love Wreck Gar. Marty (probably) loves Wreck Gar because he wrote the episode. Your design is so awesome I bet you love Wreck Gar too. So WHERE IS WRECK GAR?!

Woah, it sold out instantly at www.tfaw.com. I've got it on back-order now. Looking forward to it, specially Oilslick's introduction.
It'd be cool to get some more comics, so maybe we'd get more of an insight into characters like Rodimus' & Strika's team who we are apparently not going to see much more of in season 3.
If I can volunteer my own responses:
1. Blame/credit Larry DiTillio & Bob Forward, the BW Duo, for what was done to Blackarachnia. They were brought in to write this ep for a reason.
2. I believe Derrick said she returns in "Human Error", so next weekend—or at worst, the weekend after, if she doesn't show 'til part 2.
On another note, I just realized that the randomly generated TFWiki link on your page links to the article about you, Derrick. I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere.

Dude! I already have issues 2, 3, 4, and 5! Issue 1 is nowhere to be seen and issue 6 is part of jetstorm and jetfire toy... too expensive...
