What have you done?! You have called forth a debate that has lasted the ages! ...I just answered my own question, never mind. Though I think Hasbro reverses the colors to mess with us. And who knew Frenzy had such good hand writing?
And I'll attempt to preemptively answer this question(since I have a feeling someone's going to ask it): They don't have any plans to use Frenzy or Rumble in Animated. I asked Mr. Wyatt a couple months ago.
Now I actually don't want to see these characters show up?
The original cartoon was the aberration. It hasn't been FIRRIB for nearly 20 years now (outside of a couple of VERY isolated incidents). Why go back to that and restart the whole debate?
Well, knowing that Frenzy and Rumble aren't any part of Animated, and Laserbeak already is, and Hasbro just told one of the fansites that Anim Soundwave would be having a new minion soon...Well, that narrows it down a bit.
I wouldn't say "Rabble Rouser" I'd go more with that he is an Active Participant in the Fandom. I could give some other examples how he could get us riled up, but I'd rather not say them, lest I give him ideas of unimaginable orange horror!
Hell, Unicron can't remember what size he's supposed to be anyway. He seems to shrink between every scene he was in during the Movie and season 3.
FortMax, who hopes that if Ratbat shows up in Animated Season 3, it's Marvel Ratbat (the glorified accountant and sometimes Decepticon Commander) rather than Cartoon Ratbat (who did... not much).
Derrick for mayor of Transformerdom! Or at least Iacon. BTW, Unicron is WAY bigger than either Death Star, at least according to the official Star Wars literature on the Death Stars' size and even conservative estimates about Unicron's size.
Ooh, that would be a cool redco idea. You should suggest that to Hasbro.
You know, if Lugnut was in the old Marvel comics he would totally back stab and betray Megatron at every turn, and at some point for no real reason he would be leader of the Decepticons.
He would also be the new Matrix Bearer just like uhh... pretty much everybody.
Oh and he would also be miscolered, maybe even in red and blue.
Anyway I seriously doubt a redeco would be enough of such glorious character, his levels of wickedness can only be compared to a new mold! Imagine it, a stand with Legends, Voyager, Activators and maybe even Leader Lugnut toys!
Are you seeing this? Are you loving this? I'm so excited I could almost spring a leak!
Moral of this story, Mr. Wyatt is not a fan of the old Marvel Comics of the Transformers.
Though, have you ever asked David Kaye if he thought it was weird that he's essentially voicing this continuity's answer to the Beast Wars Inferno(He is a personal favorite of mine, so it's meant as a compliment..and Soundwave wasn't as fanatically devoted to Megatron as these two) after being "The Royalty!"?
Lugnut would only do that if his original character bio said he was like that.
With few exceptions, the cartoon and comic used the same character bios written by Bob Budiansky, which predated both the cartoon and comic). The main difference in characterization came from the cartoon writers mot following the bios as closely.
For an unknown reason, the Series Bible for the cartoon didn't use Budiansky's bio writeup (used in the tech specs and comics), but had a completely different characterization. All signs point towards the comic portrayal being the intended one, as it matches the original bios and tech specs.
If you put Rumble and Frenzy in the show, one should be blue with red, and the other red with blue. Then both sides are wrong! Plus, the argument can be taken in character; I can easily imagine Bumblebee and Bulkhead arguing over which was which. :)
ive always wanted to see the former cassettes [autobot and decepticon] as animals that transform directly to small vehicles. No robot mode, just animal and vehicle. Ratbat a tank, ravage a motorbike?
No, Rumble is RED!!@1 The cartoon made a boo-boo. ;)
Actually, Frenzy's bio always sounded cool to me. Attacking like a madman causing disorientation and panic, but if a bot just stood his ground he could probably beat the crap out of Frenzy.
"Sow panic and surrender will bloom." If FRENZY needed to breathe, war would be his oxygen. He knows no cause, only craves to spread fear and destruction....Disorients and disrupts electrical flow in opponent's circuitry which makes them malfunction. Physically weak. His manic attack can be countered with cool logic.
Growing up I had Frenzy, but not Rumble. My Toy was Blue.
The original show was wrong, almost every other media out there has followed their proper colors, and I honestly hope that if/when Soundwave returns in Animated and has minions that either they follow the original toys, or just aren't refered to by name.
Whoo hoo retro comment! I always figured Rumble was blue because he was the first transformer I ever had as a kid and you remember silly things like that. Furthermore, that Frenzy toy's expression is downright bizarre. I can't tell if he's drunk, manically happy, or if he took a dump behind that name card and is trying to distract us from looking... None of these, may I add, are any good. Ha ha
watch the generation one movie, the one with the pounding arms that breaks the window is RUMBLE, the black and red one is frenzy. and they are two colors: rumble: purple and blue/indigo, frenzy: black and red

Hah! Talk about a bunch of beryllium baloney!
If Frenzy is the red one I believe MY name is Derrick Wyatt now.
You're right, of course, but are you hinting at the next characters you reveal?
What have you done?! You have called forth a debate that has lasted the ages! ...I just answered my own question, never mind. Though I think Hasbro reverses the colors to mess with us. And who knew Frenzy had such good hand writing?

True for the time being, but if they do ever show up, you know what colors they will be!
If Rumble and Frenzy showed up, I'd hope that their gimmick would be that nobody is sure which is which.
Frenzy was only red in the G1 cartoon, but Teletraan I realized the mistake and referred to Rumble as the "red robot".
You're outnumbered, my friend.

Of course I know Hasbro's official stand is FIBRIR, and that's how they appear in most media.
I just think the names fit better the other way around.
I always knew I could count on you, Silent Magnus. Such a logical fellow.
Walky, how can you let such an obvious grievous error remain on the wiki?
Well, don't worry, I'll set the people straight! Even if I have to run for mayor of the Transfandom!
Did you really have to go there?
Now I actually don't want to see these characters show up?
The original cartoon was the aberration. It hasn't been FIRRIB for nearly 20 years now (outside of a couple of VERY isolated incidents). Why go back to that and restart the whole debate?
Rumble HAS to be BLUE, OR ELSE! Do I make myself clear? XD
Well, knowing that Frenzy and Rumble aren't any part of Animated, and Laserbeak already is, and Hasbro just told one of the fansites that Anim Soundwave would be having a new minion soon...Well, that narrows it down a bit.
LET IT BE RATBAT.
Derrick, Derrick, Derrick...did someone add a title of "Rabble Rouser" to your door plaque? What next, Unicron vs. Death Star?
Doug
Who me? I'm the very soul of innocence.
And Unicron could totally eat the Death Star, but I don't know which one is bigger.

Sorry, no talking former cassette animals in Animated.
Lord, let it be Ravage. A jaguar, erm...Piano? Oboe?
Is Soundwave's new minion going to be another instrument, a casette, or something else entirely?
I love how Brianne is like "okay...."
It's a big issue in the fandom!
I always loved rumble's personality. I really hope his new incarnation brings some of that charm along with him.
Course it might also be fun to "Shake things up a little" so to speak.
Derrick for mayor of Transformerdom! Or at least Iacon. BTW, Unicron is WAY bigger than either Death Star, at least according to the official Star Wars literature on the Death Stars' size and even conservative estimates about Unicron's size.
Yeah, Derrick prefers the cartoon over the comic. Unfortunately.
Ooh! Ravage as an oboe! That's something to think about...
Derrick Wyatt, Sir, what are your thoughts on the lack of a Lugnut toy with the glorious Punch Of Kill Everything?
Ooh, that would be a cool redco idea. You should suggest that to Hasbro.

I've seen someone with a fan made Rumble and Frenzy that were speakers. Both BLUE. >_>;;;
No, Rumble is RED!!@1 The cartoon made a boo-boo. ;)

Yay!!! RIBFIR forever!:)
I say forget Frenzy AND Rumble. They're losers. Losers with BODIES.
Nay, this day it will be Enemy's time to shine!
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Enemy
Ooh... I do love Enemy...
So, tell me about Highbrow. I saw him there, hiding in a little, easily overlooked bit in my TFCC magazine. Who is this moustachioed Autobot?
Rumble is blue. But just for fun make em both purple and let the autobots try and figure it out.
FIBRIR.
Growing up I had Frenzy, but not Rumble. My Toy was Blue.

DW makes a RIBFIR statement! It MUST be true!
Next up: The truth about where Optimus' trailer goes, and why Perceptor prefers black shorts.
Personally I don't care for G1 Cassette Frenzy. The goofy gibberish talking Frenzy from the movie is better.
But then again, I have a soft spot for comedic schizophrenic lunatic villains and barely remember what G1 Frenzy was like in the first place.
Whoo hoo retro comment! I always figured Rumble was blue because he was the first transformer I ever had as a kid and you remember silly things like that. Right on! RIBFIR FO' LIFE!
Eu não vi o desenho original, mas pela imagem, ele ficaria bem com Soundwave.

RUMBLE AND FRENZY HAVE TWO COLORS!!!! FRENZY IS BLACK AND RED!!!!RUMBLE IS BLUE/INDIGO AND PURPLE!!!!!GET IT RIGHT YOU SUMBTICHES!
